When Life Takes a Turn

This morning I was looking forward to making biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Instead it’ll be whatever I can shove in my mouth on the way into work.

I got a call right when I woke up, which was already much later than I intended to sleep anyway, asking if I could come in to work early. And by early, they meant now. So naturally I said yes for a couple reasons; we need the money and I wasn’t really doing anything else.

And so it looks like I’ll be working instead of taking a relaxing morning, sipping coffee and eating my delicious homemade biscuits and gravy. Alas, such is life.
